"Watch Dog's Dream"
I've never been an early riser, but I've seen a few sunrises
I know the mystery of love comes in many dark disguises
I always find it hiding behind an almost stranger's enlightened eyes
It never ceases to amaze me, the many ways that God does grace me
and no matter how far I roam I am always walking home
In the night sky/In the dark scar
wherever I am/that's where you are
In the night bird's watching/in the dawn's decay
in the drowning river/in the dead tree's sway
in the shooting stars/that rumble down the boulevard
in the broken mirror/reflected in every shard
in the siren's mourning/in the watch dog's dream
in the wind's betrayal/in the screaming sea
you always find me/right where I am
you have brought me/right to where I stand
I am lightened and humbled in your eyes
and so I praise you by reaching for the skies
